Access to qualified engineers allows for expert handling of various kitchen equipment issues, emphasising the need for reliable repair services to maintain smooth operations in commercial kitchens.

Customer Portal

As an account customer, you will also be given access to a customer portal. This enables you to raise a service request on the portal which in turn flags up to the office at Primo to then process and arrange for an engineer to attend.


The portal will also update you on the process of the service call and provide an ETA. It will also let you know when a call is complete. You’ll get updates with the following


  • Call accepted and logged
  • Call allocated to an engineer
  • Estimated time of arrival
  • Engineer on route
  • Job completed

Planned Preventative Maintenance

What is PPM?

COMPLIES WITH UK COMMERCIAL KITCHEN REGULATIONS... Scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PPM) refers to regular maintenance performed on equipment according to a set schedule. This proactive approach involves routine inspections, testing, and servicing conducted by trained technicians.

Consistent maintenance and servicing can identify minor issues before they escalate into significant problems, minimizing wear and tear on your machinery. This ultimately reduces incurring extra costs for repairs and breakdowns

Scope of Services

Our PPM services include:
Routine Inspections: Regular checks of all specified equipment to identify potential issues. Please see details below;

Electrical Equipment

  • Check for signs of wear or damage
  • All connections checked for tightness and remade if necessary
  • Safety and functionality is tested
  • Ensure safety features such as emergency shut-offs, alarms are operational
  • Low-cost basic repairs are undertaken as required (any parts used will be charged in addition to the quoted PPM cost). 

Gas Equipment

  • Clean burners and ignition systems
  • Inspect Gas connections and hoses for leaks
  • Inspect exhaust hoods and filters for cleanliness
  • Carry out a Gas Safety inspection and produce certification on completion

Warewashing Equipment

  • Inspect Spray Arms and nozzles for any clogs
  • Check chemical dispensers and levels
  • Clean filters and drains
  • Verify water temperature settings

Refrigeration Equipment

  • Clean condenser and evaporator coils
  • Check refrigerant levels
  • Inspect door seals for integrity
  • Very temperature settings and functionality
  • Cleaning: Comprehensive cleaning of equipment to maintain hygiene and efficiency.

Asset Management

Comprehensive Asset Management and Cost Monitoring 

We maintain a detailed history of costs associated with each asset, allowing us to track expenditure and identify when an asset may be approaching excessive repair costs. If the total spent on repairs reaches a certain percentage of an asset’s value, we will notify you and recommend considering a replacement to optimise your investment.

Our system also tracks recurring issues, enabling us to identify patterns in faults over the asset’s lifespan. Whether caused by user error or a potential design flaw, we collaborate with manufacturers to address these issues, helping improve the overall quality of the equipment.
